(Capsicum chinense) Origin: Cuba | Heat: Mild Organically grown. Days to Maturity or Bloom: 90-100 days . Aji Cachucha is a small mild, sweet-tasting chili pepper used in many traditional Cuban dishes. It is also sometimes known (especially in Puerto Rico) as an Aji Dulce. The pods ripen from a light pale green to a yellow/orange. Don't confuse this pepper with the habanero, which looks very similar and is related. This has the Habanero flavor, it has none of the heat. The longer you leave them on the plant before harvesting, the hotter they will become (up to 500 Scoville units) At GreenView Aquaponics, we have chosen not use ANY herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers or other synthetic chemicals in our production, even if they are OMRI approved; however, we have made a conscious choice not to become organically certified, even though we follow and exceed organic growing practices .
